PAK vs BAN: Bangladesh Playing XI vs Pakistan, Asia Cup 2023, Super Four Match 1 – Predicted

Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and India have qualified for the Super Four of Asia Cup 2023.

The first super 4s stage match of Asia Cup 2023 will be played between Pakistan and Bangladesh at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore on September 6, 2023. Pakistan and Bangladesh were both the first teams to qualify for the next stage from their respective groups.

Bangladesh had lost their first game against Sri Lanka in a low-scoring encounter but then thumped Afghanistan by 89 runs in the second group match to have a net run rate better than both the other teams.

Keeping in mind they have had a couple of injuries in their team, here is the predicted Bangladesh playing XI vs. Pakistan for the super four match of Asia Cup 2023.

1. Mohammad Naim:

Mohammad Naim has been off-colour a bit in the two matches Bangladesh have played thus far and has scored only 44 runs, with a best of 28. With Najmul Hossain Shanto out of the tournament due to injury, Naim would have to give the team a good start against hosts Pakistan in their own backyard.

2. Mehidy Hasan Miraz:

Mehidy Hasan Miraz got to open the innings against Afghanistan and hammered his second ODI century, and Bangladesh would love for him to continue doing so against tougher opposition Pakistan as well. It might be a tough task given that he would have to face Shaheen, Naseem, and Rauf.

3. Litton Das:

While Najmul Hossain Shanto will miss the rest of Asia Cup 2023 due to injury, Bangladesh will welcome their ace batter, Litton Das, who missed the group stage due to illness. He has joined the team in Pakistan for the super 4s match, and this will be a huge morale booster for the tigers.

4. Towhid Hridoy:

Hridoy will be under pressure to perform as he has only made 20 runs in two matches, including a duck against Afghanistan. He has the ability to do well against good attacks and would love to help his team get one up against Pakistan.

5. Mushfiqur Rahim (WK):

The veteran Mushfiqur Rahim has not had many chances to showcase his ability down the order, but he has been terrific behind the stumps. Rahim would love for Bangladesh to go all the way to the final and get their maiden big title win.

For this, he would need to begin with Bangladesh beating Pakistan in Lahore on Wednesday.

6. Shakib Al Hasan (C):

Shakib Al Hasan has showcased his all-around skills with 37 runs and two wickets as well. He has marshalled his troops well in the field, and all his past experience facing Pakistan will come in handy when the two sides clash in the super 4s of Asia Cup 2023.

7. Shamim Hossain:

Shamim Hossain has just one innings under his belt, and he needs a bit more exposure to showcase his wares in Asia Cup 2023.

8. Afif Hossain:

Afif Hossain is a dangerous customer with both the bat and the ball, and he has shown this in the past given that he has more than 500 runs in ODIs with a best of 93*.

9. Taskin Ahmed :

Taskin Ahmed is the star bowler of Bangladesh, and his job will be to get rid of Pakistan's top order of Imam, Fakhar, and Babar Azam. He has been in good form, picking up five wickets in two matches with a best of 4/44.

10. Shoriful Islam:

Shoriful Islam has a total of 4 wickets in Asia Cup 2023 tournament with a best of 3/36 and will be responsible for keeping the Pakistani batting in check, especially in the death overs.

11. Hasan Mahmud:

Hasan Mahmud is the speed king of Bangladesh, and though he has one wicket in the only game he has played, he showed that speed can do many things, and on the flat surface of Lahore, he could actually trouble the Pakistani batting.
