List of batsmen to score 3000+ runs in all three formats of cricket

Only four batsmen have scored more than 3000 runs in all formats of cricket.

There are many brilliant batters going around in modern-day cricket at the moment. Some are specialised in one particular format, while others have really good records in two out of three formats. But to perform consistently across three formats, a batter needs a special skillset.

This article is also about batters who are from different leagues. Here we will talk about the batsmen who have scored 3000 or more runs in all three formats of the game. Only four players have achieved this landmark until now. So let’s check out this elite list of batters.

Here are the four batsmen who have scored 3000+ runs in all three formats of the game:

1. Virat Kohli:

Former Indian captain Virat Kohli is at the top of this list because he is the only batter in the world to have scored more than 4000 runs across all three formats. He is simply the greatest batter in the modern era and has achieved a lot of success that a player dreams of. Virat has 8848 runs in 113 tests with 29 centuries. In 290 ODIs, he has scored 13848 runs with 50 centuries, while in 117 T20Is, he has scored 4037 runs with one hundred.

2. Rohit Sharma:

Rohit Sharma is the only batter with five or more hundreds across formats. He has been a run-machine for Team India in the last decade or so. Rohit has a big stature in white-ball formats of the game and has proved that he has a solid technique to play the longest format of the game as well. He has 3827, 10709, and 3974 runs in 56 tests, 262 ODIs, and 151 T20Is, respectively. Rohit currently has 46 international centuries to his name.

3. Babar Azam:

Former Pakistan captain Babar Azam is arguably the best batter from Pakistan in all three formats. He has already established himself as one of the modern-day greats. Babar has played 278 international matches and has 3000+ runs across formats. Babar has 3898, 5729, and 3698 runs in 52 tests, 117 ODIs, and 109 T20Is, respectively. Babar has 31 international centuries to his name.

4. David Warner:

Veteran Australian opener David Warner is the only batter from Australia who has played 100 or more games across formats. With this, he has also completed 3000+ runs across formats. Warner recently completed 3000 T20 runs and has 3067 runs in 102 T20Is. He has also played 112 tests and 162 ODIs and scored 8786 runs in tests and 6932 runs in ODIs. Warner has 49 international centuries to his name.
