List of batsmen who have all of their ODI centuries in winning cause (Min. 5 centuries)
There are only two batsmen with more than 10 ODI career hundreds, all of which came in a winning cause.
A hundred is always a special milestone for any batter in any format of the game. Because it takes a lot of dedication to reach the three-figure mark in the game. But a hundred in a winning cause is even more special.
Though Virat Kohli, Sachin Tendulkar, and Ricky Ponting have scored the most ODI hundreds that have come in when their teams have won, but here we will be talking in detail about players who have scored all of their ODI career centuries in wins. So let’s check into this elite list of the top ten batters.

10 – Paul Collingwood – 5 :
Former English captain Paul Collingwood, who led his country to the ICC T20 World Cup 2010, is also on the list. Collingwood had a brilliant career, and he was a key contributor in both departments of the game. He played 197 ODIs and scored 5092 runs with 5 hundreds, and all those centuries came on a winning cause. Collingwood also took 111 wickets with the ball.
9. Ben Stokes – 5 :
English test captain Ben Stokes is probably one of the most impactful cricketers in modern cricket. He is a true match-winner and has won various games. Whenever he stays at the crease, England get ahead of the game. Stokes has played 114 ODIs and scored 3463 runs with five hundreds, and all those came on a winning cause for his team. His highest score of 182 came against New Zealand.
8 – Travis Head – 5 :
Australian star Travis Head has become a big match player for his country. He has performed in big matches for his team. He smashed a hundred in the WTC 2023 final and then scored another hundred in the finals of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 against India to help his team win their 6th World Cup title. Head has scored five ODI hundreds so far, and all came on a winning cause.
7 – Kamran Akmal – 5 :
Former Pakistani wicket-keeper batter Kamran Akmal was another big striker of the ball. He batted mostly in top-order in ODIs and used to give his team a good start. Akmal played 157 ODIs between 2002 and 2017 for Pakistan. He scored 3236 runs with five hundreds while all those centuries came in a winning cause.
6 – Saleem Malik – 5 :
Former Pakistani captain Saleem Malik was one of the stylist batters that his country produced. He batted mainly in top-order and had a pretty successful international career. Saleem played 283 ODIs between 1982 and 1999 and was part of Pakistan’s 1992 World Cup-winning team. He scored 7170 ODI runs with 5 centuries, all of which came in winning causes.
5 – Phil Simmons – 5 :
Former Caribbean all-rounder Phil Simmons was an explosive batter who was known for his aggressive strokeplay. The all-rounder made his ODI debut in 1987 against Pakistan and played his last game in 1999 against Australia. Simmons played 143 ODIs, scored 3675 runs, and took 83 wickets. He scored five hundreds with a best of 122, all of which helped his team win the game.
4 – Late Andrew Symonds – 6 :
Former Australian all-rounder Andrew Symonds was one of the most fearsome characters in the game. Symonds was always in the game, whether in bowling, batting, or fielding department. He was a complete package. He was a core member of the formidable Australian team that won the 2003 and 2007 ICC Cricket World Cups. Symonds played 198 ODIs and scored 5088 runs with six hundreds. All his centuries came in winning games. Not to forget, he also took 133 wickets.
Sadly, Symonds passed away on 14th May, 2022 in a car crash.
3 – Tom Latham – 7 :
New Zealand wicket-keeper batter Tom Latham is also one of those batters with all centuries in wins. Latham made his ODI debut in 2012 and was part of the team that ended the 2015 and 2019 editions as runners-up in ICC Cricket World Cup. The left-hander has played 144 matches so far and scored 3952 runs with 7 hundreds. He has scored all of those hundreds in winning cause.
2 – Sir Viv Richards – 11 :
West Indies legend Viv Richards was one of the most influential cricketers to take up the game. His strokeplay and the way he used to carry the innings were just incredible. It won’t be a wrong statement to say that the game can’t get another player like him. Richards was an integral part of the unbeatable West Indies side in the 1970s and 1980s. His ODI career had 11 hundreds, and all came in winning cause. He scored 6721 runs at a strike rate of 90.20, when 200 to 240 was considered a big total.
1 – Adam Gilchrist – 16 :
Australia are still not able to find the ideal replacement for Adam Gilchrist. The man who changed the meaning of attacking batting from the word go. Australian great is at the top of the tree. Gilchrist was part of the 1999, 2003, and 2007 ICC Cricket World Cup-winning teams and registered 50+ scores in all three finals. He played 287 ODIs and scored 9619 runs with 16 centuries, all of which came in wins. His 149 in the finals of the 2007 ODI World Cup was the main reason that Australia won the title.
