5. Rahul Dravid – 10768 runs
Former India captain Rahul Dravid was a pillar in India’s middle order for more than a decade. He amassed 10768 runs in ODI cricket for India at an average of 39. The right-hander made 12 centuries and 82 fifties in the format.
Overall, he scored 10889 runs in ODI cricket, of which, he scored 121 runs for Asia XI and ICC XI.
4. Sourav Ganguly – 11221 runs
Former India captain and opener Sourav Ganguly is fourth on the list of most ODI runs for India with 11221 runs. The left-hander featured in 308 ODIs for India from 1992 to 2007. He averaged 40 in his ODI career. He hit 22 centuries and 71 fifties.
Overall, he scored 11363 runs in ODI cricket, of which, 142 came while representing Asia XI in ODIs.
3. Rohit Sharma – 11370 runs

One of the most elegant batters the game has seen, Rohit Sharma is currently the third-highest ODI scorer for India with 11370 runs, which he’s scored at an average over 49 across an 18-year ODI career.
The right-hander opener has notched up 33 centuries so far in ODI cricket. Rohit was the leading run-scorer in the ICC Cricket World Cup in 2019.
2. Virat Kohli – 14255 runs

Former India captain Virat Kohli is hailed as arguably the biggest match-winner in ODI cricket. The right-hander, who has occupied the number three position in the Indian ODI side for over a dozen years, has scored 14255 runs in ODIs so far.
He is the second-highest run-scorer not only for India, but also overall in ODI cricket. With 51 centuries so far, Kohli also tops the chart of most ODI hundreds.
Kohli scored 765 runs in ICC Cricket World Cup 2023, a record in any edition of this tournament.
1. Sachin Tendulkar – 18426 runs

With 18426 runs, at the top of this list is none other than Sachin Tendulkar, who is hailed by many as the greatest batsman of all time.
Tendulkar, whose ODI career spanned from 1989 to 2012, played 463 ODIs. He notched up 49 hundreds, which was a record until last year when Kohli broke it. Tendulkar also raised 96 ODI fifties, a record that stands still.
Tendulkar was the top scorer at the 1996 and 2003 World Cups.
