Brisbane Heat defeated Adelaide Strikers by 54 runs and to qualify for the BBL 2023-24 final.

Brisbane Heat opener Josh Brown played a match-winning knock for his side against Adelaide Strikers in the Challenger game of the BBL 2023-24. Josh Brown scored 140 runs in 57 balls, which included 10 fours and 12 sixes, and took his team to above par score. Heat finished their innings with 214 runs on the board. Heat skipper Nathan McSweeney also played a useful hand along with Josh Brown and scored 33 runs in 29 balls. He finished the game with three wickets in final over.

Adelaide Strikers were not able to challenge Brisbane Heat in their chase and fell short by 54 runs. Thomas Kelly (41) and Harry Nielson (48) were the two top-scorers for Strikers in the game. Brisbane Heat’s left-arm pacer Spencer Johnson bowled a magnificent spell of 3/20 in his quota of four overs. Johnson dismissed Mathew Short (19), D’Arcy Short (7) and Jake Weatherald (8) early in his spell and rattled Adelaide Strikers’ top-order.
