Melbourne Renegades jumped to the top of the BBL 2024-25 points table.
Match 10 of the Big Bash League (BBL) 2024-25 went Melbourne Renegades’ way. They defeated Perth Scorchers at the Docklands Stadium in Melbourne to jump to the top of the points table, having recorded two wins in three games.
The Renegades won the toss and elected to bowl first. Perth couldn’t get going throughout their innings and lost wickets regularly.
While Cooper Connolly held one end and top-scored with 66, other Perth batsmen struggled for boundaries and lost their wickets. Tom Rogers was the pick of the bowlers for Melbourne, returning with figures of 3/22. The other four bowlers picked up one wicket each.
The chase was anything but straightforward. The few Renegades batsmen got starts, but none of them could convert it into a big, match-killing knock. As many as three Renegades batsmen scored between 20 and 30. But they managed to eventually cross the line with two wickets left and six balls to spare.
