The BCCI will be awarding former Indian coach Ravi Shastri the Lifetime Achievement award. Shastri will join the august company of his 1983 World Cup-winning teammates Kapil Dev, Sunil Gavaskar, Syed Kirmani and Kris Srikkanth. Ravi Shastri had a wonderful all-round career for India across formats. Current Indian team opener Shubman Gill will receive the Polly Umrigar Award for the year 2023. The Polly Umrigar Award is given to the best men’s cricketer of the year. This award ceremony will held for the first time after 2020 as Covid-19 restrictions have been imposed in the last few years.
