Haris Rauf and Sahibzada Farhan’s gestures during India vs Pakistan clash went viral on social media.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), as per the reports in ESPNCricinfo, has lodged an official complaint with the International Cricket Council (ICC) against Pakistan’s Haris Rauf and Sahibzada Farhan for their provocative gestures during the Super Four clash of Asia Cup 2025 between India and Pakistan on Sunday, September 21. The BCCI has filed a complaint through an official email and ICC has a receipt of it.

During the Super Four clash between India Cricket Team and Pakistan Cricket Team on Sunday at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium, Farhan celebrated his half-century with a gun gesture. The right-hander held his bat like a gun and fired imaginary shots in the air.

Moreover, Rauf was seen making ‘airplane-crashing’ and ‘6-0’ gestures near the boundary towards a section of the Indian crowd. With his gestures, he hinted towards Pakistan Army’s claim of downing six Indian Rafale jets during the military battle between both sides in May during Operation Sindoor.

The videos of Rauf and Farhan’s gestures went viral on social media and many fans slammed them for their immature behaviour on the field. Now, if both Pakistan players deny the allegations in writing, an ICC hearing could take place to address the matter. As a result, they might have to appear before second match referee Richie Richardson.

Meanwhile, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has also lodged an official complaint against Indian skipper Suryakumar Yadav for dedicating the victory over Pakistan in the group stage to Pahalgam terrorist attack victims and the Indian Armed Forces. The PCB has alleged that his comments were political.

Notably, the India vs Pakistan Super Four clash also witnessed several heated moments between Pakistan pacers Haris Rauf and Shaheen Afridi and Indian openers Shubman Gill and Abhishek Sharma.

The Men in Blue won the encounter by six wickets by chasing down a 172-run target. Gill and Sharma set the platform for the team’s victory with their opening stand of 105 runs.
