Yash Dhull to lead as BCCI announces India A squad for ACC Men's Emerging teams Asia Cup 2023

BCCI has also named 4 players as standbyes along with the 15-member Indian squad for the Emerging teams Asia Cup 2023.
The Board of Control for Cricket (BCCI) in India announced a 15-member squad for the upcoming emerging Asia Cup tournament in Sri Lanka. BCCI picked India’s under-19 world cup-winning skipper Yash Dhull as leader of the Indian emerging squad for the tournament starting from 13th July. India will be opening their campaign against UAE at Sinhalese Sports Club in Colombo. India are placed along with Pakistan, UAE, and Nepal in Group B. While in Group A Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Afghanistan, and Oman are taking part. BCCI announced former Saurashtra batter Sitanshu Kotak as head coach of the team for the Asia Cup tournament.
Punjab all-rounder Abhishek Sharma has been named the deputy of Yash Dhull. Left-hand batter Sai Sudarshan has also earned a call-up after his magnificent innings in the IPL 2023 Final and TNPL 2023 season. Riyan Parag, Nishant Sindhu, Nikin Jose, Pradosh Ranjan Paul are part of the Indian emerging team. Punjab’s Prabhsimran Singh and Uttar Pradesh’s Dhruv Jurel are picked as wicket-keepers. Selectors have given the recently concluded Indian Premier League season extra weightage in team selection. Harshit Rana, Akash Singh, Manav Suthar, Yuvraj Singh Dodiya, Rajwardhan Hangargekar, and Nitish Kumar Reddy are the bowlers in the squad.
Along with Sitanshu Kotak, Sairaj Bahutule will be joining in as a Bowling coach and Munish Bali will be taking the responsibility of fielding coach. Harsh Dubey, Nehal Wadhera, Snell Patel, and Mohit Redkar are part of the squad as standby players. The Emerging Asia Cup Final will be played on 23rd July at R Premadasa International Cricket Stadium in Colombo. India will take on UAE on 13th July, Pakistan on 15th July at SSC Colombo, and on 18th July they will play against Nepal at P Sara Oval.
