Indian Cricket Team defeated Pakistan by five wickets in the final to win Asia Cup 2025.
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) came up with a massive announcement right after Indian Cricket Team defeated Pakistan Cricket Team in the final of Asia Cup 2025. They announced a huge cash prize of INR 21 crores for all the squad members and support staff.
This comes after India thumped Pakistan for the third consecutive time in the tournament. The third win was even more special as it came in the final and the Suryakumar Yadav-led side won the tournament unbeaten.
The final was the best game of Asia Cup 2025 as it saw both India and Pakistan giving their best. The Men in Green, who were asked to bat first, had a solid start to their innings with Sahibzada Farhan (57) and Fakhar Zaman (46) taking the attack to the Indian bowlers.
Their 84-run opening stand put India on the back foot and surely Pakistan looked the favourites to win. But, the comeback was even greater as Indian spinners Kuldeep Yadav (four wickets), Varun Chakravarthy and Axar Patel (two wickets each) brought India back in the game with their brilliant bowling.
The rest was done by Jasprit Bumrah as he removed the last two wickets, bundling Pakistan for 146. What was special to see was that India took the last three wickets for just 33 runs.

In the chase, India were rocked by a sensational start from Pakistan. In form batters in Abhishek Sharma, Shubman Gill and skipper Suryakumar Yadav were back in the hut early with India left at 20/3. What unfolded after that was something spectacular and something that showed what separates India from others.
With the team under pressure, Tilak Varma (69*) took the responsibility and played one of the best innings of his career. He held the fort and slowly took the game away from Pakistan. At first, he got support from Sanju Samson (23) and then Shivam Dube (33) took the onus.
The trio played a crucial role as they kept the run rate in check and helped India win the tournament. This was their ninth title win and arguably the most special one as they beat their arch-rivals in the final.
