ENG vs IND: Ben Stokes achieves rare feat, becomes fourth England all-rounder to achieve this record

Ben Stokes picked a five-wicket haul and scored a hundred in the ongoing Manchester test.
During the ongoing fourth test between England Cricket Team and Indian Cricket Team at Old Trafford, Manchester, the hosts have gained a dominating position with a 311-run lead after the end of first innings. For the hosts, their skipper Ben Stokes has been absolutely brilliant with both ball and the bat.
In the first innings, Stokes claimed a five-wicket haul. During his 24-over spell, he picked five wickets for 72 runs. Later, he slammed a century while batting. Stokes scored 141 runs in the first innings to register his 14th century in test cricket.
Joe Root (150) also scored a century for England in the match. In the first innings, England piled up a gigantic total of 669/10 to gain a dominating position. England lead the series 2-1 and need to win the Manchester test to seal the five-match series.

With his five-wicket haul and a hundred in the ongoing game against India at Manchester’s Old Trafford, Stokes has become the fourth England all-rounder to achieve the double of taking a five-for and scoring a hundred in the same test.
Apart from Stokes, only Tony Greig (once), Sir Ian Botham (five times), and Gus Atkinson (once) had achieve this feat.

Moreover, Stokes also became the third cricketer to reach the double of 7000 runs and 200 wickets in test cricket during the match. Apart from Stokes, only the West Indies’ Garfield Sobers and South Africa’s Jacques Kallis have achieved it.
Talking about the Manchester test, India piled up 358/10 in the first innings after being asked to bat first. Later, England replied with 669/10 to earn a massive lead of 311 runs. England bowlers made a wonderful start in the second innings, dismissing Yashasvi Jaiswal and Sai Sudharsan for a duck.
