Ben Stokes awarded Wisden's Leading Cricketer in the World

England test captain, Ben Stokes wins Wisden's Leading Cricketer in the World award for 3rd time in four years.

English Test team captain and Star All-rounder Ben Stokes has been announced as Men’s leading Cricketer in the World by Wisden Cricketers' Almanack's latest edition which was published on Tuesday. Ben Stokes has been rewarded for his wonderful leadership skills in the past year working with Brendon McCullum, who is a Coach of the England Cricket team. This is for the third time in the last 4 years Ben Stokes has grabbed this accolade. Previously he was in Wisden Cricketers' Almanack as World’s Men’s leading Cricketer in the year 2020 and 2021. Stokes stature has grown massively since he won the England 2019 Cricket World Cup final against New Zealand.

All-rounder Ben Stokes has changed the outlook of Englad’s test Cricket in just one year under his tenure as a captain. A Large amount of Credit also goes to Brendon McCullum, who is working alongside Stokes as a coach. After facing multiple setbacks till early 2022, England decided to bring a change in their game. Ben Stokes' 52* made England WT20 Champions

With his game, Ben Stokes also helped England lift the World T20 Championship trophy in Australia last year. He played a magnificent role with the bat and ball to help England beat a dominant Pakistan in the 2022 WT20 Final. Stokes scored 52 not out in that final. As a Captain, Stokes scored a test century against South Africa in Manchester last year. Stokes also announced his retirement from ODI Cricket as well in the last year.
