Virat Kohli scored a century in the second innings of the first BGT 2024-25 test in Perth.

After losing the first test, Australia are all set to host India for the second test of the ongoing Border-Gavaskar trophy (BGT) 2024-25 in Adelaide. Starting on Friday, December 6, the second test will be a day-night affair.

Interestingly, the last time these two teams faced each other in a day-night test, India were bowled out for their lowest-ever total of 36 runs in the second innings of the game.

This time though, India are heading to Adelaide brimming with confidence after their thumping 295-run victory in the first test at Perth’s Optus Stadium.

India’s dominating performance in Perth saw Yashasvi Jaiswal and Virat Kohli score stunning hundreds in the second innings of the game. Criticized after his underwhelming performance during the home test series against New Zealand, Kohli stood tall against the Australian bowling attack, amassing 100 runs in just 143 balls.

However, a concerning update has emerged from the Indian camp regarding the fitness of Virat Kohli. Kohli was spotted with a bandage on his knee during the fielding drills of team India.

Virat Kohli was spotted with his knee wrapped in a bandage during India’s practice session before the second test. Despite the initial concern, Kohli seemed unbothered by the bandage and practised normally during the training session.

He was seen running across the ground during the fielding drills and displayed no visible signs of discomfort. The former Indian captain also worked on his batting with the pink ball during the net session.

With the news of disintegration in the Australian camp, India will look to maximize in the Adelaide test. The visitors have received a significant boost with the return of star batters Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill for the upcoming game.
