Prasidh Krishna took three wickets in the first innings of the SCG test.
India have made a strong comeback in the fifth test of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy (BGT) 2024-25 at the Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG).
After posting 185 runs in their first innings, the visitors bowled out Australia for 181. Jasprit Bumrah started the proceedings by dismissing Queensland top-order pair of Usman Khawaja and Marnus Labuschagne. Mohammed Siraj then struck twice in the same over to send Sam Konstas and Travis Head to the pavilion.
Debutant Beau Webster stood out for Australia with his maiden test fifty. The Tasmanian all-rounder added 57 runs for the fifth wicket with Steve Smith and 41 runs with wicketkeeper Alex Carey.
India got some relief on the last ball of the 38th over when Prasidh Krishna, into a long spell, clean-bowled Carey with an inswinger. The left-hander attempted a push down the ground but left a gap between his bat and pad through which the ball burst into the stumps.
