Salman Butt dares India not to play any match against Pakistan in ICC tournaments.

Former Pakistan cricketer Salman Butt has attacked the Indian Cricket Team after the cancellation of the India Champions vs Pakistan Champions match in the ongoing World Championship of Legends (WCL) 2025. The two arch-rivals were scheduled to play each other on July 20 at Edgbaston, Birmingham.

However, the encounter was called off by the organisers due to backlash from Indian fans. Moreover, some Indian players like Yuvraj Singh, Harbhajan Singh, Suresh Raina, Shikhar Dhawan, Irfan Pathan, and Yusuf Pathan denied playing against Pakistan Champions in the tournament.

On his YouTube channel, former Pakistan captain Butt slammed India after they refused to play Pakistan Champions in the tournament. Butt challenged them not to play against Pakistan at any level or tournament.

“The whole world is talking about them – what message have they sent to cricket as a whole and to the fans? What are you trying to show? What are you trying to prove? Now don’t play in the World Cup…don’t play against us in any ICC tournament”, he said.

“Make this a promise. See, we understand that everything has its own place. But now that you are interlinking, don’t play against us at any level or tournament. Not even the Olympics. Please do that. I would love to see. The stakes would be high, and I’d see how much nationalism they can show at that level,” he added.
