Special cake, laser show to be used to celebrate Virat Kohli's birthday during IND vs SA match in Kolkata: Reports

Virat Kohli will celebrate his 35th birthday on November 5, when India will clash with South Africa in Kolkata’s Eden Gardens in the ongoing ICC Cricket World Cup 2023, and Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB) has planned a mega celebration for the former India captain, a report revealed.
Virat Kohli has been in a purple patch, and has scored over 350 runs in this CWC 2023, with one century and three fifties to his name. India's outstanding performance in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 have all but assured them a place in the semi-finals. Eden Gardens in Kolkata is bracing for a spectacular event with India-South Africa game scheduled for November 5 which is also Kohli's birthday.
CAB president Snehasish Ganguly shed light on the plans while keeping other details under wraps. He revealed that the party will include a specially created cake with a Kohli-esque theme. Fans would have to wait to see its design, as Ganguly wanted it to be a pleasant surprise.
“We have ordered a cake for Virat, and the design will be something everyone identifies with Virat Kohli. I am not sharing the pictures yet; let that be a surprise,” said Ganguly to RevSportz.
Furthermore, Ganguly has planned a spectacular fireworks display at the mid-innings break. This is not only to honor Kohli but also to immerse the audience in the festivities.

The gesture is CAB's way of saying that everyone in the Kolkata stadium is a part of this wonderful occasion. He expressed optimism at seeing a crowded stadium, highlighting Kohli's tremendous popularity and fandom.
Furthermore, Ganguly claimed that CAB have something special in store for Kohli that will be unveiled in the coming days. Around 70,000 masks with Kohli's visage will be provided to fans to add to the festivities. A laser display is also planned, which will provide spectators with a visual delight.
“Also, we plan to host a fireworks show during the mid-innings interval for Virat and the crowd. It will be our way of celebrating his birthday and our way of saying that the entire Kolkata crowd is part of the celebrations. We are sure of a full house, and everyone in the stands is a Virat fan. It is a gesture on behalf of all of them,” added Ganguly.
