Carlos Brathwaite scored only 54 runs in 10 matches in the Max60 Caribbean 2024 tournament.

Over the last couple of days, former West Indies captain Carlos Brathwaite has caught the attention of the fans for wrong reasons as he angrily hit his own helmet with his bat after being upset with a dismissal in the Max60 Caribbean 2024 tournament.

Remembered for his four consecutive sixes against Ben Stokes in the final of the ICC T20 World Cup 2016, Brathwaite has been out of the West Indies team since 2019.

He’s been doing commentary in the last couple of years but also continues to get gigs in T20 leagues around the world.

He recently participated in the Max60 Caribbean 2024 tournament that was held in the Cayman Islands. The all-rounder played for New York Strikers, who were captained by former Sri Lanka all-rounder Thisara Perera.

During the match against Grand Cayman Jaguars, Carlos Brathwaite showed his angry side as he hit his own helmet with his bat upon being vexed with the umpire’s decision.

Left-arm seamer Josh Little bowled a bouncer, to which Brathwaite attempted a pull shot, but missed the ball. The ball brushed his shoulder and was caught by the wicket-keeper. The umpire, though, gave Brathwaite out, leaving the batter standing at his crease with a distraught reaction.

Brathwaite walked off furiously. Near the boundary line took off his helmet and whacked it with his bat.
