Asia Cup 2025: What are the changes India have made to their playing XI for Super Four match against Sri Lanka?

India’s last Super Four stage game of Asia Cup 2025 is currently underway in Dubai.
Indian Cricket Team and Sri Lanka Cricket Team are locking horns in the last game of Super Four round in Asia Cup 2025 on Friday, September 25. The match between the two teams is underway at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium in Dubai.
The India vs Sri Lanka game is a dead-rubber encounter as the Men in Blue have already qualified for the final, while the Island Nation has been eliminated from the tournament. Coming to the clash, Sri Lanka skipper Charith Asalanka won the toss and opted to field.
In their clash before the all-important final, Indian skipper Suryakumar Yadav revealed that his side has made two changes. Pacer Jasprit Bumrah and seam-bowling all-rounder Shivam Dube have been rested for the game and have been replaced by Arshdeep Singh and Harshit Rana.

India’s playing XI vs Sri Lanka: Abhishek Sharma, Shubman Gill, Suryakumar Yadav(c), Tilak Varma, Sanju Samson(w), Hardik Pandya, Axar Patel, Harshit Rana, Kuldeep Yadav, Arshdeep Singh, Varun Chakaravarthy.
During the toss, Suryakumar Yadav also said that they were looking to bat first in the match.
“Just continue doing what we have been doing. We were actually looking to bat first. Good atmosphere, good game and we are looking forward to it. We have two changes – Bumrah and Dube are out, Arshdeep and Harshit come in,” he said.
Sri Lanka captain Asalanka revealed that they have made one change to their playing XI, replacing Chamika Karunaratne with Janith Liyange.
Sri Lanka Playing XI: Pathum Nissanka, Kusal Mendis(w), Kusal Perera, Charith Asalanka(c), Janith Liyanage, Kamindu Mendis, Dasun Shanaka, Wanindu Hasaranga, Dushyant Chameera, Maheesh Theekshana, Nuwan Thushara.
Meanwhile, India have been unbeaten in the tournament so far, winning five games in a row. Winning their previous two games against Bangladesh and Pakistan in the Super Four round, the Men in Blue became the first team to book a berth in Asia Cup 2025 final.
India will face Pakistan in the summit clash, which will be played on Sunday, September 28, at Dubai International Cricket Stadium in Dubai.
