India made two changes to their playing XI for the 3rd ODI against Australia.
The third ODI between Australian Cricket Team and Indian Cricket Team is currently underway at the Sydney Cricket Ground, Sydney. With India 2-0 down in the three-match series, the third game doesn’t hold much value. However, the Men in Blue will look to conclude the series on a winning note, while the hosts will aim for a clean sweep.
The Shubman Gill & Co. lost the opening game in Perth by seven wickets, where Australia chased DLS-revised target of 131 runs by seven wickets like a walk in the park. In the second ODI in Adelaide, the visitors showed a better batting performance, piling up 264/9. However, they failed to defend their total as Mitchell Marsh & Co. eventually won by two wickets to seal the series.
In the third ODI in Sydney, Australia captain Mitchell Marsh won the toss for the third consecutive time in the series. However, unlike the first two games, he opted to bat first this time. While the hosts made one change, Gill revealed that India have made two changes to their playing XI.

India have included spinner Kuldeep Yadav and pacer Prasidh Krishna for the Sydney ODI. Arshdeep Singh was released from the playing XI, while Nitish Kumar Reddy was unavailable for the match due to an injury. Reddy sustained a left quadriceps injury during the second ODI in Adelaide and is being monitored by the medical team of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI).
“We would have bowled first. Have a target on the total and then try to chase down, I think we got what we wanted. Hopefully this game is going to be a good one for us. Two changes. Kuldeep [Yadav] and Prasidh [Krishana] come in for Arshdeep [Singh] and [Nitish Kumar] Reddy,” Gill said during the toss.
