Chris Woakes discloated his shoulder on day one of the Oval test.

England Cricket Team all-rounder Chris Woakes came up with a gutsy effort on fifth day of the fifth test against the Indian Cricket Team. The game between the two teams took place at The Oval in London.

The fifth day of The Oval rest was arguably one of the best days of the entire series between England and India. The day saw both teams giving their best, and there was a perfect example of what it takes to play for the country.

Coming to the day, England needed just 35 runs with four wickets in hand, out of which one was injured Chris Woakes. Indian bowlers Mohammed Siraj and Prasidh Krishna, bowled their hearts out and put the hosts under pressure.

India picked three wickets in no time and in what was a courageous act, Chris Woakes, with a dislocated shoulder, walked out to bat and gave it all for his team, especially when the series was on the line.

As he walked out to bat, Chris Woakes received a huge standing ovation from the fans. He had his shoulder tied with a sling, and despite that, he came to bat, making sure he provided full support to Gus Atkinson.

Chris Woakes didn’t face a single delivery in the second innings but acted as a great support for Gus Atkinson. The latter gave his best with the bat and was taking on the Indian bowlers. But couldn’t take his team home as Mohammed Siraj picked a fifer to win the game for India.

India won the game by just six runs and the series between the teams ended in a 2-2 draw. Mohammed Siraj ended as the leading wicket-taker with 23 wickets, while Shubman Gill finished as the highest run-getter with 754 runs.
