Which cities will host India's league stage matches in T20 World Cup 2026?

India are placed in Group A in the T20 World Cup 2026.

Defending champions India will enter the ICC T20 World Cup 2026 aiming to win their third title overall and second in a row. The Men-in-Blue won the previous edition by crushing South Africa in the final. So far, India have won two trophies in the 2007 and 2024 editions.

India named a strong squad for the upcoming T20 World Cup under the captaincy of Suryakumar Yadav. Along with the Indian skipper, Abhishek Sharma, Ishan Kishan, Tilak Varma, Rinku Singh, and Hardik Pandya will be key batters.

While Arshdeep Singh and Jasprit Bumrah will lead the pace attack, Varun Chakravarthy and Kuldeep Yadav will have the responsibility of the spin unit.

India are placed in Group A alongside Pakistan, UAE, Netherlands, USA, and Namibia. In the league stage, they will face each team in their pool once. Out of their four encounters, three will take place in India while one will be played in Sri Lanka.

Which cities will host India’s first-round matches?

The defending champions, India, will commence their campaign with the opening clash against the USA on February 7 at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. Later, they will travel to Delhi to face Namibia at Arun Jaitley Stadium on February 12.

For their next clash against Pakistan on February 15, they will fly out of the country to Sri Lanka as the arch-rivals are scheduled to face off at the R Premadasa Stadium in Colombo.

Later, India will return home to take on the Netherlands in their last match of the league stage at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. All of India’s matches will start at 7 PM IST.
