Which cities will host Pakistan's league stage matches in T20 World Cup 2026?

Pakistan are placed in Group A in the T20 World Cup 2026.

Pakistan are pulling their socks up for the T20 World Cup 2026, which will start on February 7 and features a battle among 20 nations for the trophy. The Men-in-Green faced a humiliating first-round exit in the previous edition and will look for a comeback this time.

Pakistan will aim for their second title in the tournament’s history, having previously won in 2009. Under Salman Agha’s captaincy, the Men-in-Green have named a strong set of batters and bowlers for the ICC tournament. Babar Azam, Fakhar Zaman, Sahibzada Farhan, and captain Agha will be crucial members of the batting unit.

Naseem Shah and Shaheen Afridi will lead the pace attack, while Abrar Ahmed and Mohammad Nawaz will have the responsibility of the spin department. The T20 WC 2009 champions comprise a strong set of all-rounders with the likes of Saim Ayub, Faheem Ashraf, and Shadab Khan.

The Asian giants are placed in Group A alongside India, the UAE, Netherlands, USA, and Namibia. In the league stage, they will clash with each team of their pool once. All four of their encounters will take place in Sri Lanka.

Notably, the Men-in-Glenn will play all of their matches in Sri Lanka as they have refused to travel to India. If they reach the semi-finals or final, then those games will also take place in Sri Lanka.

Later, they will face their arch-rivals India at the R. Premadasa Stadium in Colombo on February 15. However, it is still undecided whether this match will take place or not, as Pakistan have decided to boycott their match against India.

Their last league stage match is against Namibia on February 18, which will be played at Sinhalese Sports Club (Colombo). Ahead of the tournament, Pakistan will clash with Ireland in a warm-up match on February 4.
