Chennai Super Kings all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja credits team environment for success in the IPL.

The Chennai Super Kings team has built an image of one family among their players and fans. CSK’s core has remained intact since the Indian Premier League began in 2008. CSK All-rounder Ravindra Jadeja has talked about the same thing to credit Chennai’s success in the IPL. Ravindra Jadeja feels that being empathetic to a player and giving equal respect to everyone on the team has been a top priority in Chennai. Chennai is the second most successful franchise in the IPL with four title wins. Earlier few media reports stated that star all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja is miffed with his franchise CSK.

In the IPL 2022, when MS Dhoni left Chennai’s captaincy decided that Ravindra Jadeja will replace Dhoni as captain. CSK under Jadeja did not do well. Jadeja was replaced mid-season by the franchise and MS was back as a leader. Since then a few reports and news came out that Ravindra Jadeja is not happy with CSK management and he wants to leave CSK as well. The issue was sorted out before IPL 2023. Jadeja was reportedly angry with the team because they removed him from captaincy without consultation. They finished 9th last season.

'No biases among any player in CSK'

CSK All-rounder in a Chat show praised Chennai dugout’s atmosphere. He said, “There is no senior or junior kind of thing there. Even any youngster coming from Under – 19 will get the same respect and treatment as senior players”. Jadeja also said, “We have no pressure at all, no biases among any players, whether they are playing or not”. Ravindra Jadeja became part of the Chennai Super Kings in 2012.

CSK has a great fan base around the country. Wherever they travel to play in the IPL, A sea of Yellow will always be visible. Ravindra Jadeja said that franchises share an emotional bond with their fans. CSK arranged everything for 2000-3000 fans when they had to shift their base to Pune in the IPL 2018. He said that during that time that number looked like 15-20,000 thousand.

"In Pune, CSK Franchise made complete arrangement for 2k-3k fans to stay in Pune and watch all those seven matches which were scheduled to be played in Pune. Their stay and food arrangements, everything was done by CSK franchise. Also they were given CSK jerseys.", added Ravindra Jadeja.

Chennai Super KIngs will be taking on Royal Challengers Bangalore on Monday night in a Southern derby.
