Corbin Bosch picked a three-wicket haul in the second T20I against Australia.
South Africa all-rounder Corbin Bosch has been handed one demerit point by the International Cricket Council (ICC) for his send-off to Australia’s Ben Dwarshuis during the recent second T20I between both teams. Notably, this is Bosch’s first offence in international cricket.
During 17th over in second innings of the encounter, Bosch pointed out to the dugout after dismissing Dwarshuis. For his gesture, he was found guilty of breaching Article 2.5 of the ICC code of conduct for players and support personnel. Bosch has admitted his fault and accepted the sanction.
The 30-year-old clinched a three-wicket haul during his three-over spell in the encounter, which South Africa won by 53 runs. With South Africa’s victory in the second T20I, the three-match T20I series is levelled 1-1.
Dewald Brevis’ hundred helps South Africa defeat Australia in the second T20I

Meanwhile, Dewald Brevis led South Africa to a victory in the second T20I at Marrara Cricket Ground, Darwin. After South Africa lost three wickets quickly at start of the first innings, Brevis hammered an unbeaten 125 runs off 56 deliveries to power Proteas to a mammoth total of 218/7.
The right-handed batsman became the eighth South African batsman to score a century in T20I cricket. In the second innings, Kwena Maphaka and Bosch scalped three wickets each to bowl out Australia for just 165 runs.
In the first T20I, the hosts outplayed South Africa by 17 runs. The Mitchell Marsh-led side piled up 178/10 in the first innings and later restricted the visitors to 161/9 in the second innings. With the series levelled at 1-1, the outcome of the third T20I will decide the winners of the series.
The third T20I will be played on Saturday (August 16) at Cazaly’s Stadium, Cairns. Later, both teams will lock horns in a three-match ODI series.
