The pace bowler has earlier left the Mumbai Indians' camp from the ongoing IPL 2023.

On Tuesday, the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) announced that Jofra Archer, the fast bowler from England, will be unavailable for the Test match against Ireland. This is due to the reoccurrence of a stress fracture in his right elbow. Following recent scans, it has been determined that Archer will be sidelined for the remainder of the summer. He will now undergo treatment and work closely with the medical team to manage his injury.

It has been a frustrating and upsetting period for Jofra Archer. He was making good progress until a recurrence of the elbow injury, which kept him out for an extended period previously. We wish him the best of luck with his recovery,” said Rob Key, ECB Managing Director for England Men’s Cricket in a statement.

“I’m sure we will see Jofra back to his best and winning games for England, whatever the format. Hopefully, sooner rather than later.”

Jonny Bairstow Returns to England Squad After Injury Recovery

Jonny Bairstow, the wicketkeeper-batter, has made a complete recovery from his broken left leg and dislocated ankle. He has rejoined the England team, marking his return after last being part of the squad in August of last year.

“It was a seriously tough decision to leave Ben Foakes out of the squad. He has been excellent for England in the last year, but Jonny Bairstow is one of the best players in the world whose performances last summer epitomised what we are about.”
