Keshav Maharaj was awarded Men’s Player of the Year by Cricket South Africa.
Cricket South Africa (CSA) has announced the annual awards for 2024-25 and honoured many Proteas players for their contribution to the sport. Keshav Maharaj, Temba Bavuma, and Heinrich Klaasen won prestigious awards during annual awards function. Among women cricketers, Nonkululeko Mlaba captured multiple awards in her kitty.
CSA annual awards 2024-25 recognised achievements for the 2024-25 season. The judging period considered the men’s and women’s T20I World Cup last year, the home summer, and the ICC Champions Trophy 2025.
However, the ICC World Test Championship (WTC) 2023-25 final, which South Africa won, was not considered and will be taken into account next year. Hence, Aiden Markram and Kagiso Rabada’s marvellous performance in ICC WTC 2023-25 final will be considered in next year’s annual awards.

South Africa test skipper Temba Bavuma won the Test Player of the Year award. He slammed two centuries in the test series against Sri Lanka and Pakistan and played a crucial role in helping South Africa reach ICC WTC 2023-25 final. Heinrich Klaasen, who has retired from ODIs, won the ODI Player of the Year award. Pacer Anrich Nortje won Men’s T20I Player of the Year award.

South Africa Women ended as runners-up in the tournament. She also clinched a 10-wicket haul during a test match against England in December last year, becoming the first South Africa woman player to bag the achievement.
