IND vs NZ: Arshdeep Singh & Daryl Mitchell engage in SERIOUS fight during T20 World Cup 2026 final (Video)

Arshdeep Singh and Daryl Mitchell had a go at each other in the middle of over during IND vs NZ T20 World Cup 2026 final.

India and New Zealand clashed in the final of the T20 World Cup 2026 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on March 8, 2026. New Zealand captain Mitchell Santner won the toss in the summit clash and chose to bowl first.

India opened with Abhishek Sharma and Sanju Samson, and the duo took a couple of overs to get a look in and then went after the Kiwi bowlers. Lockie Ferguson went for 24 runs in his first over in power play overs as Abhishek went hammer and tongs.

He smashed 52 in 21 balls, his second fifty in the tournament, hitting 6 fours and 3 sixes. Sanju Samson played the supporting role but took over once Abhishek was dismissed by Rachin Ravindra. Samson and Ishan Kishan then maximized the powerplay and overs after that.

Kishan made 54 in 25 balls with four fours and four sixes, while Sanju Samson made 89 in 46 balls with 5 fours and 8 sixes to his name. India faltered in the middle overs as Jimmy Neesham took three wickets in the 16th over of the innings. But Shivam Dube hammered 26* in 8 balls to power India to 255/5 in 20 overs.

New Zealand wanted their openers Finn Allen and Tim Seifert to go big, but they took two overs to get their sights in. But Axar Patel had Allen caught at the boundary for nine runs. The Kiwi middle order faltered as Jasprit Bumrah, Hardik Pandya, and Axar Patel got rid of Rachin Ravindra (1), Glenn Phillips (5), and Mark Chapman (3), leaving New Zealand 70/4.

Tim Seifert got out to Varun after making 52 in 26 balls with 5 sixes and 2 fours when Darly Mitchell came out to bat and hammered some sixes.

The boiling point came in the 11th over, when Arshdeep Singh was hit for two sixes off the first two balls by Mitchell. Arshdeep then bowled a wide and a dot ball. On the 5th ball of the over, Mitchell hit a ball back to Arshdeep on the move, and the bowler picked it up and tried to aim at the stumps.

However, Arshdeep hit Mitchell on the thigh, and the batter was not happy with Arshdeep, who just walked away. Mitchell confronted the umpire and complained, while Suryakumar calmed the New Zealand batter down.

The umpire talked to Arshdeep, and the bowler admitted his mistake. At the end of the over, the two players shook hands as Arshdeep apologized to Mitchell.
