Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG) witnessed an emotional moment in cricket history as David Warner, the veteran Australian opener, stepped out on the field to play last test match of his career against Pakistan. Warner, known for his aggressive batting style and remarkable contributions to Australian cricket, announced his retirement from One Day International (ODI) cricket as well, adding significance to this farewell appearance. The third Test between Australia and Pakistan marked the end of an era for Warner, and the cricketing fraternity paid tribute to his illustrious career.
As the day unfolded at the SCG, Pakistan team and the entire crowd eagerly awaited Warner’s final innings. Aussie batter has scored many runs throughout his career, featuring in 111 tests he has scored 8695 runs at an average of 44.58, including the highest score of 335*. His impact on the game extended beyond runs, as he contributed significantly as a fielder and a leader.

The match began with Pakistan putting up a competitive total of 313 runs in their first innings. Mohammad Rizwan’s brilliant knock of 88 and Aamer Jamal’s solid contribution of 82 were the highlights. However, the spotlight shifted to David Warner when Australia came out to bat.
