Rohit Sharma is part of Mumbai, while Virat Kohli is part of Delhi in the Vijay Hazare Trophy 2025-26.

Indian Cricket Team batters Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli delivered outstanding performances for their respective teams on day 1 of the Vijay Hazare Trophy 2025-26. Both veteran Indian batters hammered centuries in their opening games of the tournament on Wednesday, December 24.

Rohit, who represents Mumbai in the tournament, hammered a century against Sikkim at Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur. The right-handed batsman scored 155 runs off 94 deliveries, smacking 18 boundaries and nine sixes to announce his arrival in the tournament in style.

With his marvellous knock, he helped Mumbai to crush Sikkim by eight wickets, chasing down a 237-run target with ease.

Talking about Kohli, he hammered 131 runs off 101 deliveries for Delhi against Andhra, hitting 14 fours and three sixes in the process.

After opting to field first, Delhi restricted Andhra to 298/8 in the clash, which took place at the BCCI Centre of Excellence Ground 1 in Bengaluru. With Kohli’s marvellous ton, Delhi won the encounter by four wickets, reaching the target within 38 overs.

Notably, both the former Indian captains impressed with their batting performances in the previous ODI series against South Africa.

Kohli hammered two centuries and one half-century in the three-match series, winning the Player of the Series award. With his heroics, the Men in Blue outplayed the Proteas 2-1 in the campaign.

On the other hand, Rohit scored two half-centuries across three matches, smacking 57 and 75 in the first and third ODIs respectively. In the prior ODI series against Australia in October, he won the Player of the Series award.
