Deepak Chahar has broken his silence on World Cup snub.
Hit by continuous injuries, Indian pacer Deepak Chahar has not found any place in Indian Cricket Team after IPL 2023. Deepak Chahar’s last game for team India was in December 2022 against Bangladesh, where he played in the one-day international series. After that, Chahar once again got injured and was ruled out for the next few series. Deepak Chahar has now opened up about his injuries and chances of his comeback with Indian team. Chahar has said that he is completely fit and determined to get back to Indian team.
Deepak Chahar ready for India comeback!
Deepak Chahar, while speaking with PTI, said that he is ready and will give 100% whenever he gets his chance next. Chahar said, "A player should not get disappointed by injuries. These things are not in a player’s hands. My priority right now is to remain fit and be available for the team. I will give my 100% for the team whenever I get a chance." Chahar recently played in Rajasthan Premier League (RPL) after IPL 2023 finals in Ahmedabad. He played a crucial role in Chennai Super Kings fifth title win in Indian Premier League history.
Right arm pace Deepak Chahar also felt that he was having a bad time due to consistent injury problems. He added, "In my case, it can also be said that I was having a bad time. Last year, I suffered a back injury, which is serious for a fast bowler, but now I am completely fit. I am trying to make a comeback for the Indian team." Deepak Chahar was once considered a potential all-rounder, along with Hardik Pandya and Shardul Thakur. Chahar will have an entire domestic season in front of him as an opportunity.
Deepak Chahar also informed that he was practicing with Indian cricket team members who will be going to Asian Games 2023 in China. Chahar said, "I recently played in RPL (Rajasthan Premier League) tournament. Till Sunday, I was at National Cricket Academy. I was practicing with Indian team, which is going to China for Asian Games." Deepak Chahar has played 13 one-day internationals and 24 T20I games for team India.
