Chennai Super Kings all-rounder Deepak Chahar recently in a chat has revealed a top secret of Chennai’s dressing room. Deepak Chahar and a few other teammates have suggested MS Dhoni come in and bat at the top as fans wish and cheer for others wicket to see Dhoni bat. Deepak Chahar said, “Jaddu bhai and Rayudu bhai have been talking about this. (Chepauk crowd wishing and cheering for wickets). Whenever they are batting, everyone wants them to get out. They joke about it and ask, ‘What kind of support is this?’ I have been telling MS Dhoni to play one down”. MS Dhoni is batting at number 8 in the IPL 2023.

In the IPL 2023, MS Dhoni had a good start with the bat. He played a few knocks that helped CSK finish the game or innings well. But Since he is batting down the order, fans have witnessed less of his batting in the last 5-6 innings. Chennai’s batting looks way stronger than it looked in the IPL 2022. Ruturaj Gaikwad and Devon Conway are in the race for the orange cap and they are continuously in the top 5 list of leading run-scorers.
