Devdutt Padikkal has scored four centuries in ongoing Vijay Hazare Trophy 2025-26 season for Karnataka.

Karnataka batter Devdutt Padikkal has been having an excellent outing in the ongoing Vijay Hazare Trophy (VHT) 2025-26. This comes after he completed 600 runs in the ongoing season with the bat.

He added another 91 against Rajasthan to his total after scoring four hundreds in the first five innings. He has also set a huge record that no other player has ever attained, thanks to this performance.

Since making his List A debut for Karnataka in 2018, he has firmly established control over it. In just his second season in the 2019–20 season, the left-hander amassed 609 runs in 11 innings. Then, in the 2020–21 edition, Padikkal maintained that incredible record, scoring four straight hundreds with 737 runs in eight innings.

He reached 600 runs in the current edition with his knock of 91 against Rajasthan. Devdutt Padikkal had already scored 600 runs in two other seasons, a feat no other player has achieved in the tournament’s history. He became the first player in the history of the Vijay Hazare Trophy to score 600 or more runs in three editions.

The Karnataka batsman has amassed 605 runs in six innings at an average of 100.83 in the Vijay Hazare Trophy 2025–2026, including four hundreds and a half-century.

The 26-year-old lost out on a fantastic opportunity to reach his fifth century in five innings. However, the Karnataka team was in a strong position early in the game due to the efforts of the openers.

To bolster his cause for a spot in India’s ODI team, Devdutt Padikkal will try to maintain that form. He is currently only behind Ankeet Bawane of Maharashtra (15 in 99 matches) and Ruturaj Gaikwad (14 in 57 matches) with 13 hundreds in 34 innings in VHT.

Padikkal has presented a strong argument for being a member of the Indian ODI squad. He has the greatest average of any batter who has scored at least 2000 runs in the format, averaging 83.62 over 38 List-A innings.
