Rinku Singh scored 22 off 14 balls in the first T20I against Australia.

India clinched a thrilling victory against Australia in the first T20I at Visakhapatnam. The hero of the hour was Rinku Singh, who once again showcased his capabilities as a finisher, smashing a six on the last ball to secure a remarkable win for India.

Rinku Singh, hailing from the small town of Aligarh, needed a shift in mindset. Abhishek Nayar, the coach of KKR, focused not only on fine-tuning Singh’s death-hitting skills but also on instilling a belief that transcended his modest beginnings in international level. Even during a challenging time when Singh faced an ACL injury, Nayar’s conviction led KKR to include him in the team, allowing him to stay with Nayar for an extensive rehabilitation period. Resulting in Singh having a stellar domestic season and evolving as a match-winning finisher that Nayar and KKR wanted.
