The Dukes ball has come under massive scrutiny during the ongoing England vs India series.
The England Cricket Team and the Indian Cricket Team are locking horns with each other in a five-match test series. Both teams have performed exceptionally well in the series and have given immense entertainment to the fans all across the globe.
The series started with England winning the first game by a margin of five wickets at Headingley in Leeds. However, after that, India came up with a solid reply at Edgbaston in Birmingham, winning the game by a massive margin of 336 runs.
Even better was the Lord’s test, which saw both teams giving their absolute best till the last ball. However, it was the Ben Stokes-led side, that went on to win the game by 22 runs, taking a 2-1 lead in the five-match series.
While both teams have come up with stellar performances, one of the concerning things in the series has been the quality of the ball. The Dukes ball has come under massive scrutiny, as in all the games, it got very soft after just a few overs, which troubled both teams.
The players from both teams voiced their concerns over the same. Even Stuart Broad talked about it, calling for immediate corrective steps, saying the integrity of the contest was being affected.
