Dwayne Bravo 100% sure about MS Dhoni's participation in the next IPL season

MS Dhoni batted down the order in most of the games in the IPL 2023.

There are speculations over MS Dhoni’s Indian Premier League career. Chennai Super Kings have entered the IPL finals for the 10th time in 14 seasons. 42-year-old MS Dhoni is almost at the end of his cricketing career and discussions are going around about his availability for the next season. MS Dhoni after the win against Gujarat Titans said that he has 8-9 months to decide on whether he will enter the field for CSK as a player or will be sitting on the sidelines in support staff passing on the baton to someone else. After all this, CSK’s assistant bowling coach Dwayne Bravo looked sure about Dhoni’s availability in the IPL 2024.

Talking to Start network after the first qualifier game against Gujarat Titans, Dwayne Bravo said, “100 percent, Especially, with the impact player rule, it will keep prolonging his career”. Dwayne Bravo looked sure about his captain’s agreement to play in the next IPL. Bravo further added, “He bats really deep. I think the likes of Ajinkya Rahane, Shivam Dube and these guys make a huge difference. You don’t require much from MS. But he has the ability to keep his calm when the team is under pressure”. MS Dhoni has batted at number 7 or 8 in the IPL 2023 and has played only a handful of balls this season. 

Chennai Super Kings after defeating Gujarat Titans in the first qualifier game at Chepauk have booked their flight to Ahmedabad. Chennai Super Kings are waiting for their opposition in the final. The IPL final is scheduled on 28th May at Narendra Modi Cricket Stadium in Ahmedabad. Gujarat Titans will have another opportunity to play their second consecutive final as they will take on the winner of Eliminator game. Lucknow Super Giants and Mumbai Indians are taking on each other in the Eliminator clash.
