We have awarded two-year deals to our multi-format players: Rob Key
Rob Key, Managing Director of England Men’s Cricket, said that ECB has awarded two-year deals to multi-format players to manage their workload.
“This year’s central contract group reflects the depth and strength of talent we have across England Men’s cricket. We have awarded two-year deals to our multi-format players, so we can manage their workloads responsibly and give them the stability they need to perform across format,” Key said in ECB’s official statement.
“We have also secured a number of white-ball players on longer agreements to help us plan effectively around the growing franchise calendar and ensure England remains their priority. This structure allows us to support our players properly while maintaining strong squads across all formats as much as possible,” he added.
Meanwhile, England Cricket Team recently concluded their New Zealand tour, which witnessed three ODIs and three T20Is. The visitors won the three-match T20I series 1-0, out of which, two games were washed out due to rain. The Blackcaps bagged a 3-0 clean sweep in the ODI series. England are now gearing up for The Ashes 2025-26, which will commence on November 21 at Perth Cricket Stadium, Perth.
