The ENG vs IND test series ended in a 2-2 draw.

Indian Cricket Team crushed England Cricket Team by six runs in a nail-biting encounter in the fifth test at The Oval, London. England failed to chase down a 374-run target in the match and were bowled out for 367 runs, with Mohammed Siraj clinching a fabulous five-wicket haul in the second innings.

Centuries by Harry Brook (111) and Joe Root (105) in the second innings went in vain as India made a brilliant turnaround on day 5 with the ball, getting the remaining four wickets. With India’s victory in the final test, the five-match test series ended in a 2-2 draw.

Earlier on day 1, England skipper Ollie Pope won the toss and opted to bowl first. Karun Nair (57) scored a half-century to propel India to 224/10 in the first innings. Gus Atkinson captured a five-wicket haul.

With half-centuries by Zak Crawley (64) and Harry Brook (53), England posted 247/10 in the first innings, earning a 23-run lead. Mohammed Siraj and Prasidh Krishna captured four scalps each to demolish England batters.

In the second innings, Yashasvi Jaiswal (118) hammered a ton to power India’s total to to 396/10. Akash Deep (66), Ravindra Jadeja (53), and Washington Sundar (53) scored crucial half-centuries as India set a gigantic target of 374 runs for England.

Meanwhile, England won the first test at Headingley, Leeds, by five wickets. India made a comeback in the second test at Edgbaston to claim a victory by 336 runs. In the third test at The Lord’s, England snatched a thrilling win by 22 runs. The fourth test at Old Trafford, Manchester, ended in a draw.

Indian skipper Shubman Gill finished as the highest run-scorer in ENG vs IND test series. Joe Root, who scored a century in The Oval test, finished as the second highest run-scorer in the series with 537 runs.

KL Rahul (532) and Ravindra Jadeja (516) finished at third and fourth spots respectively. With a century in the The Oval test, Harry Brook (481) ended as the fifth highest run-scorer in the series.
