England have named a 16-member squad for the third ENG vs IND test at the Lord’s.
After losing the second test against India, England have named a 16-member squad for the third test of the five-match series for the Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy 2025, which will be played at the Lord’s, London. The third test will be played from Thursday, July 10.
Star pacer Gus Atkinson, who was ruled out of the first two tests due to a hamstring injury, has returned to the side in a massive boost for the hosts. The rest of the squad remains the same.
The five-match test series is currently leveled 1-1. England won the opening game at Headingley, Leeds, by five wickets. However, India made a comeback in the second test at Edgbaston, winning the encounter by a huge margin of 336 runs.

On Sunday, July 6, England lost the second test of the ongoing five-match series by a huge margin of 336 runs. After winning the toss and opting to bowl first, England conceded 587 in the first innings, with the visiting captain Shubman Gill leading the charge with a double hundred (269). Later, they were bowled out for 407, conceding India a huge lead of 180 runs.
In the second innings, England were once again mauled by Gill as he slammed another hundred (161) to complete 400 runs in the game. India then declared their innings at 427 and set a massive target of 608 runs for the hosts, which they failed to chase getting all out for 271.
