India made four changes to their playing XI for the last test of the series against England.

The Indian Cricket Team are locking horns with the England Cricket Team in fifth and final game of the five-match series. The game between the two teams, which is a series decider, is taking place at The Oval in London.

England, who are 2-1 ahead in the series, won the toss and opted to field on a track which looks lush green. It will be an extremely important game for India as a win here would not only help them draw the series but also gain crucial ICC World Test Championship (WTC) 2025-27 points.

Both teams are missing out on some of their key players. For England, skipper Ben Stokes is missing the game due to a shoulder injury. Along with him, there are three more changes for them with Jofra Archer, Brydon Carse and Liam Dawson missing.

Coming to India, they have made four changes to their XI. Dhruv Jurel has replaced injured Rishabh Pant, while other changes came in the bowling department, with the Shubman Gill-led side opting to strengthen their batting.

Shardul Thakur has been dropped and his place Karun Nair has been added again in the XI. Akash Deep comes in place of Anshul Kamboj, while Prasidh Krishna replaces Jasprit Bumrah, who has been rested due to workload management.

Speaking at the toss, India skipper Shubman Gill said that they will look to post a big total in the first innings. He also added that his team will be giving their all in the last game.

“Don’t mind losing the toss as long as we win the game. Was a bit confused yesterday about what to do, was a bit overcast but the wicket looks good, we’ll look to post good runs in the first innings. Should be a good pitch for the bowlers.

“We’ve got three changes. We look for a win every game we play, we’ve come close and it’s about that 5-10% extra push, boys will be giving it their all.”
