England have named a second-string 13-men squad for the three-match ODI series against Ireland.

As the ICC Cricket World Cup is set to kick off next month, England have announced their reserve squad for the series against Ireland later this month. Zak Crawley has been designated as the captain of a 13-player squad that will represent England in the upcoming One-Day Series against Ireland.

This signifies Crawley's first time leading the England team, with his Test opening partner, Ben Duckett, taking on the role of vice-captain for the three-match series, which is set to begin on September 20th at Headingly.

In this squad, three players are making their international debut: Sam Hain from Warwickshire, who specializes as a batter; Jamie Smith from Surrey, who serves as a wicket-keeper-batter; and George Scrimshaw from Derbyshire, known for his fast bowling skills.

The squad selection process involved discussions with the first-class counties and considered the players' objectives for the remainder of the LV= Insurance County Championship season. After these discussions, the squad was officially confirmed.
