10. 373/3 vs Pakistan, Southampton, 2019
England displayed their batting dominance in ODI cricket in the second ODI of Pakistan tour of England 2019 in Southampton.
Pakistan’s bowlers struggled as four of England’s top five batsmen scored half-centuries. Jos Buttler applied the finishing touches to help the hosts post a massive total of 373/3.
England won the nail-biting game by 12 runs.
9. 386/6 vs Bangladesh, Cardiff, 2019
Bangladesh were on the receiving end of a hammering from England when the hosts posted a massive total of 386/6 in Cardiff in 2019.
Batting first, Jason Roy led the charge for England, registering 153 off 121 balls, including 14 fours and five sixes.
England ultimately won the game by 106 runs and Roy was named Player of the Match for his efforts.
8. 391/4 vs Bangladesh, Nottingham, 2005
The Three Lions recorded their then-highest total in ODI cricket at Nottingham in 2005 when they racked up 391/4 against Bangladesh.
Thanks to healthy contributions from Andrew Strauss (152) and Paul Collingwood (112), the hosts punished the lackluster Bangladesh bowling attack throughout the innings.
England won the game by 168 runs.
7. 397/6 vs Afghanistan, Manchester, 2019
England posted their highest World Cup total during their encounter against Afghanistan in the 2019 World Cup, scoring 397/6 in Manchester. Eoin Morgan played a sensational 148-run knock off just 71 balls, powering the hosts to a strong finish.

England displayed their dominance in the first ODI of the New Zealand tour of England 2015 in Birmingham.
After losing Jason Roy and Alex Hales early in the powerplay, Joe Root led England with a 104-run knock off 78 balls, which included 13 fours and two sixes. He stitched a 121-run stand with captain Eoin Morgan, helping England post a massive total of 408. This was the first time when England crossed the 400-run mark in an ODI.
England won the game comfortably by 210 runs.
4. 418/6 vs West Indies, Grenada, 2019
One of England’s most remarkable batting performances in ODI cricket came in Grenada against the West Indies in 2019.
Jos Buttler powered England to a massive total of 418/6 with his 150-run knock, which included 13 fours and 12 sixes. He was well supported by captain Eoin Morgan, who played a remarkable innings, scoring 103 runs.
The strong batting performance helped them register a 29-run win in a tight game.
3. 444/3 vs Pakistan, Nottingham, 2016
The Pakistan Cricket Team were on the receiving end of a thrashing from England when the hosts posted a massive total of 444/3 in Nottingham in 2016. This was the highest total in ODI cricket at that time.
Batting first, the top-order pair of Alex Hales (171) and Joe Root (85) laid the foundation for a big total with a 248-run partnership for the second wicket. Butler then blasted 90 off 51 to take England to 444.
England ultimately clinched the game by 169 runs, and Alex Hales was named Player of the Match for his brilliant century.
2. 481/6 vs Australia, Nottingham, 2018
England became the first team to go past the 450-run mark in ODI cricket when they racked up 481/6 against Australia in Nottingham in 2018.
Batting first, England thrashed the Australian bowling attack. Alex Hales was the top scorer for the hosts with 147 off 92 balls, while Jonny Bairstow hammered 139.
England won the game by 242 runs and Hales was named Player of the Match.
1. 498/4 vs Netherlands, Amstelveen, 2022
England broke their own record and posted the highest total in ODI cricket of 498 runs against the Netherlands in Amstelveen in 2022.
Phil Salt, Dawid Malan, and Jos Buttler blasted centuries, with Buttler scoring 162* off 70 balls. England added over 90 runs in the last six overs to finish with 498.
England won the game by a huge margin of 232 runs.
