England will host South Africa for three ODIs and an equal number of T20Is in September 2025.
The England Cricket Team have announced their squads for the upcoming white-ball series against the South Africa Cricket Team. The Three Lions will host the Proteas for three ODIs and an equal number of T20Is.
The ODI series will commence on September 2 with the opening game at Headingley, Leeds. The second game will be played on September 4 at the Lord’s Cricket Ground in London, while the last encounter will take place at The Rose Bowl, Southampton, on September 7.
Later, the three-match T20I series will begin with the first clash on September 10 at Sophia Gardens, Cardiff. The next two clashes will be played on September 12 and 14 respectively. The venue of the second game is Old Trafford, Manchester, while the third encounter will be played at Trent Bridge, Nottingham.

Harry Brook, who was named as England’s white-ball skipper earlier in April, will lead the team against South Africa. The hosts have named a 15-member squad for the ODI series and a 16-member squad for the T20I series. For the ODI series, Hampshire fast bowler Sonny Baker, who bowls 90 mph, has earned his maiden call-up.
He was added to the team following his heroics in domestic cricket. Baker stole the limelight with his performance during England Lions’ 2024-25 tour of Australia, where he returned with the figures of 4/43, 1/28 and 3/60 in his three appearances.
England, who are not scheduled to play any games in August, have also added Rehan Ahmed to both squads. The youngster was rewarded for his heroics in the domestic circuit, where he was right on the money with bat and ball. His last game for England came in October 2024, during the test series in Pakistan.
On the other hand, South Africa are on a white-ball tour of Australia currently. The Proteas are currently facing Australia in a T20I and ODI series, which comprises three games each. The campaign will conclude on August 24.
