Sam Curran has been added to England squad for T20I series against South Africa and Ireland.
In a big development, England Cricket Team have made changes to their T20I squads for the home series against South Africa and the subsequent tour of Ireland. Following the three-match ODI series, which England have already lost, they will host the Rainbow Nation for three T20Is.
The hosts have rested out-of-form opener Ben Duckett and brought in all-rounder Sam Curran, who will also represent the Three Lions in the T20I series against Ireland. Moreover, England have also released Matthew Potts from the T20I squad for Ireland series, which will enable him to represent his county team Durham in the final rounds of the County Championship.
Notably, Curran has not played any international cricket for England this year. However, with good form in the T20 Blast and The Hundred has helped him make a comeback in the national side. On the other hand, Duckett, who managed just five and 14 runs in the first two ODIs of the ongoing series, has been rested for the T20I series.

In Duckett’s absence, Jamie Smith and Phil Salt might open for England in the T20I series against the Proteas.
