The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) has announced the England U19 squad for the upcoming Youth ODI series against India U19. Thomas Rew will lead a 15-member squad during the Youth ODI series, which is scheduled to commence on June 27 with the opening game.
Both sides will lock horns in five Youth ODI games during the series. The first match is scheduled to be played at Central County Ground, Hove. The next two encounters will take place at The County Ground in Northampton on June 30 and July 2. The fourth and fifth encounters will be played at Visit Worcestershire New Road, Worcester, on July 5 and 7, respectively.

ENG U19 coach Mike Yardy said that they have picked an exciting squad for the series, which will experience a great challenge against the India U19 team.
“We’ve selected an exciting squad for the ODI series. We have players who have a variety of white-ball skills and are predominantly available for the ICC Under-19 World Cup in the winter. India Under-19s will provide a great challenge this summer and it’s a great opportunity for the boys to perform as a team and individually,” he was quoted as saying by ecb.co.uk.
Meanwhile, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) named the India U-19 squad for the series last month. Ayush Mhatre is set to lead a 16-member squad during the series.
After the completion of the five-match Youth ODI series, both teams will also battle in two Youth four-day test matches. The first game will begin at the County Cricket Ground in Beckenham on July 12. The second test will begin on July 19 at The Ambassador Cruise Line Ground, Chelmsford.
