Joe Root, a member of England’s 2010 U19 World Cup squad, showcased his early cricketing skills by scoring 138 runs in six matches. Following this promising start, he made his international debut in 2012. Since then, Root has become a linchpin for England in test cricket, featuring in 135 matches and accumulating 11,416 runs with 30 centuries.

His versatility extends to ODIs, where he has played 171 matches, scoring 6,522 runs with 16 centuries. Additionally, in T20Is, Root has played 32 matches and scored 893 runs so far. Root’s journey exemplifies the successful transition from U19 cricket to a prolific career in England’s senior team, reflecting his consistency and adaptability across formats.

However, he overcame this early setback, making his international debut in 2011. Since then, Buttler has evolved to become a key player for England, featuring in 57 tests and amassing 2907 runs.

His impact extends to limited-overs cricket also where he has played 181 ODIs, scoring 5022 runs and featured in 114 T20Is, accumulating 2927 runs so far. He led England’s senior men’s cricket team to their second ICC T20 World Cup title in 2022 in Australia.

Ben Stokes, a participant at the 2010 U19 World Cup, displayed his dual capabilities by scoring 166 runs and claiming seven wickets in six matches. Following this promising start, he made his international debut for England in 2011. Stokes has evolved to become a dynamic all-rounder for England, featuring in 97 tests, where he has amassed 6,117 runs and taken 197 wickets.

In ODIs, he has played 114 matches, scoring 3,463 runs and claiming 74 wickets. Additionally, in T20I cricket, Stokes has played 43 matches, scoring 585 runs and taking 26 wickets so far. He is currently the captain of the England test team. He was the main architect behind England’s World Cup triumph in 2019.

Reece Topley played a standout role at the 2012 U19 World Cup and emerged as the highest wicket-taker with an impressive tally of 19 wickets in six matches. This exceptional performance earned him recognition and he subsequently made his international debut for England in 2015.

Since then, Topley has been a significant contributor in ODIs, he has played 29 matches and claimed 46 wickets. Additionally, in T20Is, he has featured in 25 matches, showcasing his bowling skills by taking 28 wickets so far.

Following his impressive performances, Curran got an international call-up and made his debut in 2018. Since then, he has been a valuable asset for England, featuring in various formats of the game.

In tests, he has played 24 matches, amassing 815 runs and taking 47 wickets. In ODIs, he has contributed with 468 runs and 33 wickets in 32 matches. Additionally, in T20Is, Curran has showcased his skills scoring 260 runs and picking up 49 wickets in 46 matches so far. He was awarded the Player of the Tournament award at the ICC T20 World Cup 2022 which England won.
