IND vs SL match saw another action taking place off the field.

After the India vs Sri Lanka Asia Cup 2023 match, which Rohit Sharma and company won by 41 runs, some fans got into a scuffle in the stands at R. Premadasa Stadium in Colombo.

The match was an interesting one between two sides on a spin-friendly track, as India opted to bat first after Rohit Sharma won the toss. He led from the front, hitting 53 runs and adding 80 for the opening wicket with Shubman Gill.

However, after that, 20-years-old Dunith Wellalage had a field day as he removed Rohit, Shubman, and Virat Kohli (4) in quick succession and then picked up three more wickets to complete his maiden five-wicket haul in ODIs. Charith Asalanka also picked 4/18.

But thanks to Ishan Kishan (33), KL Rahul (39), and Akshar Patel (26), India posted a respectable 213 runs on the board.

Sri Lanka didn’t have it easy in the chase, as Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammed Siraj peppered the top-order and blew them away with ease. Dhananjaya de Silva (41) and Dunith Wellalage (42) posed some resistance to Indian bowlers, but in the end, Kuldeep Yadav’s 4/43 ensured that Sri Lanka was bundled out for 172 runs and lost the game by 41 runs.

With this win, India qualified for the finals of Asia Cup 2023 as well.

After the IND vs SL Asia Cup super 4 game concluded on Tuesday, a video is making rounds on social media on Wednesday of the same IND vs SL match, but this time it a video of a physical altercation allegedly breaking out in the stadium's stands at the R. Premadasa Stadium in Colombo.

A fan wearing a Sri Lanka jersey and another fan come to blows in the 33-seconds clip as others struggle to break them apart.

The video opens with a woman talking to a group of people while wearing what looks to be a police outfit. A man wearing a Sri Lanka jersey is then seen hitting someone else a short while later. Before the video is through, the other people there managed to separate the two.

It was not clear as to what started the brawl or the exact timing of the event.
