The ENG vs SL 1st test in Manchester saw a spectator take a one-handed catch, leaving everyone awestruck.
On day 3 of the ongoing first test match between England and Sri Lanka in Manchester, a spectator became the centre of attention after he pulled off a stunning one-handed catch in the stands with a beer in his other hand. That one-handed stunner by a fan also impressed former England cricketer Paul Collingwood, who is currently an assistant coach with the test side.
The incident happened during the 83rd over of England’s first innings when Sri Lankan speedster Ashita Fernando bowled a bumper to Mark Wood.
Fernando’s short ball was pulled superbly by Wood and the ball went over deep square leg for a huge six. A spectator in stands with a glass of beer in his hand grabbed a one-hand catch, leaving everyone awestruck.
When the cameras panned towards him, the fan signed off with a salute. His catch caught the attention of England’s assistant coach Paul Collingwood as well, who had a big laugh.
