Fans were irked after Rohit Sharma's controversial dismissal

Mumbai Indians skipper, Rohit Sharma was given out in what seems to be a controversial decision. Many feel that the bails were dislodged by the effect of Sanju Samson's gloves and not the ball directly. Rohit who is celebrating his 36th birthday today was dismissed cheaply while chasing a gargantuan total of 213 runs.

The incident took place on the last ball of the second over. Sandeep Sharma bowled a peach of outswinger that left Rohit Sharma and went to the gloves of Sanju. Sanju, who was standing up to the stumps, collected the ball cleanly but in the process ended up disturbing the bails inadvertently. In the end, that went unnoticed, and Rohit was given out which infuriated the fans on social media.

Currently, at the ninth position MI have had a topsy-turvy tournament so far.

Yashasvi Jaiswal notches up the joint-highest score for Rajasthan Royals

The southpaw hailing from Mumbai scored his maiden IPL century in his home city of Mumbai against Mumbai Indians. His innings of 124 runs in just 62 balls is the joint-highest score by an RR batter in the history of the league. Jos Buttler, his companion at the top of the order also scored 124 runs. though in 64 balls, against Sunrisers Hyderabad in IPL 2021.

Jaiswal's blazing innings hogged all the limelight, deservedly. He constructed his innings with the help of 16 boundaries and 8 sixes. While all the other batters failed to even cross 20 runs, it was on the back of Jaiswal's brilliance that RR could post such a huge total on the board.
