Karun Nair was dismissed by Ben Stokes in the first session on day two.

The first test between the India Cricket Team and the England Cricket Team is underway at Headingley, Leeds. After being asked to bat first, three Indian batsmen slammed centuries in the first innings of the match. Opener Yashasvi Jaiswal scored 101 runs on day one.

Later, Shubman Gill (147) and Rishabh Pant (134) joined him with their tons to drive the scoreboard over 450. Notably, Karun Nair made his test comeback in the playing XI after eight years in during the ongoing game.

He was expected to come up with a good batting show after his brilliant performance for India A in the unofficial test series against England Lions. Nair, who came out to bat at six, bagged a four-ball duck in the encounter. England skipper Ben Stokes bowled a wide off-stump outswinger delivery to Nair, and he was caught by Ollie Pope at extra cover.
