Shubman Gill scored his fourth century in the ongoing ENG vs IND test series.
Indian skipper Shubman Gill slammed a century in second innings of the ongoing fourth test between England and India at Old Trafford, Manchester. Gill, along with KL Rahul, showed a brilliant fightback in the second innings with a partnership of 188 runs for the third wicket.
While Rahul lost his wicket for 90 runs, Gill went on to score his fourth century of the series. He also became the third Indian batsman to score over 700 runs in a bilateral test series, joining the likes of Sunil Gavaskar and Yashasvi Jaiswal.
With Gill’s century, India crossed 200 runs for the loss of four wickets in the second innings. Gill got out for 103 runs just ahead of lunch. India need to evade getting bowled out on day five to end the encounter in a draw.

After Gill scored his fourth century in the series, many fans hailed him on the social media platform X (formerly Twitter).
Notably, the Indian skipper had hammered a century in the opening game at Headingley and two centuries in the second test at Edgbaston. He is the leading run-scorer in the series with 722 runs.
Talking about the Manchester test, India piled up 358/10 in the first innings after being asked to bat first. Later, England posted a gigantic total of 669/10 with centuries by Joe Root and Ben Stokes, earning a lead of 311 runs.
